Fix iCloud login prompt issue
Symptoms
- Repeatedly being asked to log into iCloud even after entering password
- iCloud not syncing properly across your devices
- iCloud applications like FaceTime not logging in or working
Solutions
Soft Checks
- Check Apple's System Status page.
- Check Wi-Fi connection - No or poor internet connection can usually be the cause as iCloud reattempts to sync
- Check system software is up-to-date.
Stop iCloud Syncing
- Go to System Preferences
- Select iCloud
- Uncheck all the boxes
- Restart computer, test if issue is resolved.
- Recheck all boxes, retest.
Disconnect iCloud from applications
Open a iCloud application, for example FaceTime
Go to FaceTime > Preferences
Select Settings
Click Sign Out
Restart computer, test if issue is resolved.
Sign back in in application, retest.
Note:
You may need to perform these same steps of signing out for Messages,
Reminders, Calendar, iTunes, the App Store, Find My Mac, Back to My Mac,
and Mail.
Sign out of iCloud
Go to System Preferences
Select iCloud
Click Sign Out
Restart computer, sign back into iCloud.
Restart computer, test if issue is resolved.
Change Apple ID password
Go to System Preferences
Select iCloud
Click Account Details
Click the Security tab and select Change Password

Create a new password, test if issue is resolved.
